About the Role

The Global Education Accrediting Commission (GEAC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Regional Director for the Southeast Asia Division. This critical role involves overseeing and expanding our accreditation services in the Southeast Asia region. As the Regional Director, you will play a key role in promoting educational excellence, fostering partnerships with educational institutions, and ensuring that schools meet GEAC's high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Outreach: Develop and implement strategies to engage with schools and educational institutions in Southeast Asia that align with GEAC's vision and goals.

  • Accreditation Oversight: Lead the accreditation process for schools in the region, including assigning and managing accreditation teams for on-site reviews.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with educational leaders and stakeholders in the region.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and support a team of accreditation representatives in Southeast Asia, providing guidance and oversight to ensure successful accreditation activities.

  • Event Coordination: Organize and oversee regional events, workshops, and gatherings for member and accredited schools to promote professional development and collaboration.

  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with GEAC’s global team to share best practices and coordinate on cross-regional initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the field of education, with at least three (3) years in a leadership role.

  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree in education or a related field is required. A Doctorate (EdD, PhD) is highly desirable.

  • Accreditation Experience: Significant experience with accreditation processes, either through serving on visiting teams or in an accreditation leadership role.

  • Regional Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the educational landscape in Southeast Asia, including knowledge of local educational standards and practices.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of successfully leading projects and initiatives.
