About the Role
The Global Education Accrediting Commission (GEAC) is seeking a tech-savvy and innovative Digital Learning Specialist to join our team. The Digital Learning Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing our educational programs and services through the integration of digital technologies. This position involves designing, developing, and implementing digital learning solutions that align with the GEAC's mission of promoting educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
E-Learning Development:Â Design and develop engaging and interactive e-learning courses and modules using a variety of digital tools and platforms.
Technology Integration:Â Identify and integrate appropriate digital technologies to support and enhance educational programs and accreditation processes.
Training and Support:Â Provide training and ongoing support to educators and staff on the use of digital learning tools and platforms.
Content Management:Â Manage and maintain digital content, ensuring it is up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with educational standards and objectives.
Research and Innovation:Â Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in digital learning and technology integration, and apply this knowledge to continually improve GEAC's offerings.
Collaboration:Â Work closely with the GEAC team, educators, and external partners to develop and implement digital learning initiatives that meet the needs of diverse learners.
Quality Assurance:Â Ensure the quality and effectiveness of digital learning solutions through regular evaluation and feedback mechanisms.
Job Requirements
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in education, instructional design, educational technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
Experience:Â At least three (3) years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, or a similar role within an educational setting.
Technical Skills:Â Proficiency in using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Canvas), and other digital learning technologies.
Communication Skills:Â Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Project Management:Â Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Analytical Skills:Â Ability to analyze data and feedback to continuously improve digital learning solutions and strategies.
Creative Thinking:Â Innovative mindset with a passion for leveraging technology to enhance learning experiences.
