About the Role

The Global Education Accrediting Commission (GEAC) is seeking dedicated and experienced educators to join our team as Accreditation Review Team Members. This volunteer role involves participating in a set number of accreditation reviews per year at educational institutions around the globe. As an Accreditation Review Team Member, you will play a crucial role in evaluating schools to ensure they meet the GEAC’s high standards of educational excellence. All travel and accommodation expenses for review assignments will be covered by the GEAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Visits: Participate in on-site accreditation reviews at schools worldwide, typically requiring travel for several days per review.

  • Evaluation: Assess schools against the GEAC’s accreditation standards, including evaluating curriculum, teaching methods, administrative practices, and facilities.

  • Data Collection: Gather and analyze data through document reviews, classroom observations, and interviews with school staff, students, and stakeholders.

  • Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on findings, highlighting areas of strength and providing recommendations for improvement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and GEAC staff to ensure thorough and consistent evaluations.

  • Continuous Improvement: Provide constructive feedback to schools and contribute to the continuous improvement of GEAC’s accreditation process and standards.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in education, including roles in teaching, administration, or educational consultancy.

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field. Advanced degrees (MEd, EdD, etc.) are highly desirable.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex educational environments.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in evaluation and reporting.

  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team and contribute to a collaborative evaluation process.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally for review assignments, sometimes on short notice.

  • Commitment: Availability to participate in a set number of accreditation reviews per year, typically ranging from 2-4 reviews.
